CPT Megan Taylor commissioned as a Quartermaster Officer in May 2015 following an eleven year career in higher education. Upon completion of Quartermaster Basic Officer Leaders Course she was assigned to 703rd Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, Georgia, where she served as the Maintenance Platoon Leader for B Co 703 BSB, Executive Officer for D FSC 6-8 CAV, and S3 Current Operations OIC for 703 BSB.
Upon completion of Logistics Captains Career Course CPT Taylor joined the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood, Texas. She served as the 15th Brigade Support Battalion S4 from August 2020 to July 2021, and commanded J FSC, 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment from July 2021 to April 2023. Her command included a National Training Center rotation and deployment to Poland in support of Operation Assure, Deter, and Reinforce.
Her military education includes Officer Candidate School, Quartermaster Basic Officer Leaders Course, Unit Movement Officer Course, Maintenance Manager Course, Support Operations Course Phase I and II, and Combined Logistics Captains Career Course.
CPT Taylor holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Georgia and Master of Education in Higher Education from Georgia Southern University. Her military awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (1 OLC), the Army Achievement Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon.
CPT Taylor and her husband Casey reside in Lexington, Virginia.
