Major Thomas Denninghoff is assigned as the Director of Staff and Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies at Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC), Detachment 880 at Virginia Military Institute (VMI) in Lexington, Virginia. He is responsible for teaching, mentoring, and leading the AFROTC program cadets to become world-class officers and leaders in the United States Air Force.

Major Denninghoff entered the U.S. Air Force in 2014 after commissioning from the United States Air Force Academy and has served twelve years on active duty in various cyberspace, communications, and network operations positions. Prior to his current position he served as the Battle Captain for the Secretary of Defense Cables Branch at the Pentagon.
