Sergeant First Class Danielle Ogburn serves as the Senior Human Resources Non Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) for Virginia Military Institute. A native of Boston, Massachusetts, SFC Ogburn enlisted into the Army on April 16, 2004. She attended Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia (formerly Fort Lee) where she trained as a Food Service Specialist. In May 2012, she reclassed as a Human Resources Specialist after attending training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.
SFC Ogburn has served as a Food Service Specialist, Unit Postal Clerk, Orderly Room Clerk, Executive Admin Assistant, Brigade S1 NCO, Postal Platoon Sergeant, Postal Platoon Supervisor, Platoon Sergeant, Human Resources Sergeant, Senior Human Resources Specialist, and G1 Enlisted Strength Manager. She has deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Atlantic Resolve.
SFC Ogburn has been assigned to the following units: 504th Military Intelligence Brigade in Fort Cavazos (formerly Fort Hood), Texas from with whom she deployed to Iraq. 1st Infantry Brigade in Fort Riley, Kansas, 106th Signal Brigade in Fort Sam Houston, Texas, United States Army Garrison Humphreys in Camp Humphreys, Korea, 22nd Postal Platoon in Joint Base Lewis McCord, Washington from with whom she deployed to Poland, and 593rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command in Joint Base Lewis McCord, Washington. She is currently assigned to the Army ROTC department at Virginia Military Institute, Lexington, Virginia.
SFC Ogburn’s military and civilian education includes: Unit Postal Clerk Course, Postal Operations, Combat Life Saver Course, Common Faculty Development Instructor Course, Basic Leaders Course (BLC), Advanced Leaders Course (ALC), Senior Leaders Course (SLC). She is currently working on her master’s degree in Health Care Administration at Columbia Southern University.

SFC Ogburn married Retired First Sergeant Brandon Ogburn of Chicago, IL in 2006. Together they have two sons Austin and Marcus.
