The Stonewall Jackson House celebrates several events throughout each calendar year. Events include "Apple Day", "Lee-Jackson Day", and "Christmas with the Jacksons".
Saturday, October 26, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
The Stonewall Jackson House will hold its annual Apple Day Celebration on Washington Street in front of the Stonewall Jackson House. Festivities include cider pressing, old-time music and dancing, storytelling, games and a variety of crafts for children of all ages.
Participants have the chance to unplug from modern technology and enjoy some old-fashioned family fun! Watch an antique, hand-cranked cider press in action while sampling freshly pressed cider and homemade ginger snaps or join the Shenandoah Valley Civil War Era Dancers as they demonstrate dances of Jackson’s day.
All of the demonstrations and activities are FREE.
Museum admission during the event will be a reduced rate of $5 for adults and children 12 and under are free. Tours during the event are self-guided, with expert guides stationed throughout the house.

Christmas at the Jacksons’
Tuesday, December 3, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Visitors will step back in time and experience an 1859 Christmas while interacting with costumed interpreters. Those who attend will be a part of the “preparations” by decorating a Christmas tree with handmade gifts, churning butter or kneading dough in the kitchen, and helping our 1859 visitors pick the proper outfit for dinner.
Admission for the event is nonperishable food for humans and/or pets to benefit the Rockbridge Area Relief Association food pantry. Last year we collected 160 lbs. of food. Help us give back to our local community and come out for an evening of candlelit magic.
