Assistant Professor of English - Rhetoric & Composition (tenure-track)

The Virginia Military Institute Department of English, Rhetoric, and Humanistic Studies is seeking applications for a tenure-track assistant professor with expertise in rhetoric and composition to teach three courses per semester, including Core and upper-level courses, in an interdisciplinary English major with a central focus on rhetoric, beginning August 2021. Ph.D. in English or Rhetoric required. Those with professional interest in classical rhetoric, civic engagement, and/or writing centers are particularly encouraged to apply.

Review of applications will begin immediately. Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply by September 15. Preliminary interviews will be conducted virtually and on a rolling basis.
