LEXINGTON, Va. May 5, 2026 — On April 23, Detachment 880 held its Annual Awards Ceremony to celebrate the leadership, achievement, and admirable effort of the cadet wing. The event provided a formal venue to honor individuals who have distinguished themselves through consistent dedication to the mission of the Air Force and the high standards of the Virginia Military Institute.

The ceremony was highlighted by the presentation of prestigious honors from several distinguished donor organizations. These included the Military Order of World Wars and the Daughters of the American Revolution, both of which recognized cadets for their exceptional commitment to service and leadership.
