Upcoming Meetings

There are three regular meetings of the Board each year. Specific dates for regular meetings are set by the Secretary of the Board upon consultation with, and the concurrence of, the President of the Board and the Superintendent. The Board’s last regular meeting of the academic year is designated as its Annual Meeting.

Special meetings of the Board may be called by the President of the Board, the Superintendent, by a majority vote of the Executive Committee, or by the request of a majority of the members of the Board.

All scheduled upcoming meetings are listed on this page as information becomes available. Where applicable, livestreams of the meetings will be posted here as they occur.
For regularly scheduled meetings, meeting materials are typically available 5-7 days prior to the meeting on VMI's Onboard Meetings dashboard.

The Virginia Military Institute will hold several public meetings Jan. 29 – 31, 2026, according to the schedule appended to this notice. VMI business will be discussed by the board members in attendance at each meeting. All meetings are open to the public.

PUBLIC COMMENT: Due to a full agenda, the Board of Visitors will not receive public comment at any of the scheduled meetings Jan. 29 - 31. Written comments may be submitted to bovsecretary@vmi.edu. Any comments received prior to Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, at noon will be made available to board members prior to the beginning of the meetings. Comments received after noon on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, may not be distributed to board members until after the board meetings conclude due to staffing resources.
